Founded by SMXL Partner Stacie Capone in 2014, the FilmmakeHers is a monthly salon featuring leading industry guests and mentors, film, television, and digital content creators, with chapters in New York & Los Angeles that have brought artists together in collaboration and expansion.
Filmshop is a tight-knit group of independent filmmakers who are committed to help one another develop projects, and build careers. Filmshop has chapters in New York, New Orleans, and Los Angeles. A longtime Filmshop NYC chapter leader, SMXL Partner Don Downie founded Filmshop LA in 2020.
