SMXL partner Don Downie directed a music video for Moby’s The Day – a track from the new album Destroyed.

The video was an entry in a creative showcase and directors’ contest curated by Saatchi and Saatchi, Vimeo, and Bug Records.

The creative brief for the project was to conceive and direct a video that showcases the song, and also communicates the abstract concept: “Hello, Future.”

Downie’s approach was to create a short film that employs magical realism to turn a simple boy-meets-girl story into something mysterious and unexpected.
